Don’t Pay UK
2022
I was bought on as a graphic designer as the Don’t Pay UK campaign started to pick up steam. I designed posters, stickers, social media graphics and updated the logo.
“Just two days into her premiership Liz Truss announced the Energy Price Guarantee. The Government committed to spend whatever it would take to reduce the price hike – estimates at the time put it at a cost of up to £150 billion – and stop our strike. It was a massive concession, but it took the wind out of the sales of the campaign, and the mass non-payment never materialised. However, it contributed to the downfall of the Truss government, which couldn’t push through its “mini-Budget” after having already made this gigantic financial commitment.”
